Galentine's Day Extravaganza...

Sunday, what a fantastic day! Truly the best Valentine's day ever. We kicked it in the steam rooms and saunas, where Katie got yelled at by some bitter single ladies for opening the doors. Soaked in the baths, pools and roman tubs. Ate a magnificent lunch. Then lathered up in the mud baths:

Elise got creative with her placement...it's always a good idea to exfoliate the pits.

Katie didn't want to mess up her hair and make-up :)

Then out to dinner, and back home for some chick flicks and tasty cake! Nothing like hangin' with your galpals.

Green Thumb?

A few weeks ago I hit up my local Osh Hardware and Garden and thought I would try my hand at gardening. So I picked baby carrots.

Soil
Seeds
Water
and a long waiting process...

now look at them, they're finally growing!

I'd like to say I've got a mean green thumb, but it's probably best if I wait till the carrots are edible before making such a bold claim.

Tasty Goodness

Delish cupcakes sans butter, eggs or milk

peanut butter and dark chocolate frosting, compliments of Elise

years, weeks and days...

I couldn't find a calendar I loved this year, so I took matters into my own hands and made one.

Everyday is filled with color

and no two days are the same.

Elise had the same day planner struggles, so I made one for her too. Let me know if you want one too!

One Man's Junk

The Ghetto-fabulous GWC swap-meet...although we were swamped for time, Lise and I embarked on a fantastic scavenger hunt:

there were, bowls of jewels...

an illuminated Paul Simon...

acres of books...

and vinyls...

and after some concentrated digging, we found two hidden gems...Mamas and the Papas and Jim Croce!

overall, it was a footloose and fancy-free day!
